Marmore Falls

The Cascata delle Marmore (Marmore Falls) is a fundamental stop for anyone who decides to visit the natural beauty of Umbria. The waterfall is immersed in the heart of Valnerina, inside the area of the Nera River Park.

The Nera River Park includes an area of great environmental value as well as its astonishing visual impact, which goes from Ferentillo to Lake Piediluco and then to the waterfall, following the course of the Velino and Nera Rivers. The area extends for over 2000 hectares, with a dense network of paths and trials that wind throughout it, perfect for outdoor lovers and hikes in the heart of unspoiled nature.

For this reason, a visit to the waterfall is a 360° experience: in addition to the beauty of the river itself, it is possible to take advantage of the many hiking trails in the area or the sport activities available, from rafting to canyoning.

The Cascate delle Marmore is a natural site with impressive beauty. Paths in greenest nature, excursions, activities, and a spectacular drop of 165 meters, there is something exciting for everyone of all ages! In fact, it is the highest waterfall in Italy, among the highest in Europe. The overall difference in height is divided into three falls, made in succession by the waters of the Velino River, which drops down and flows into the Nera. The progression of the cascades creates an even more suggestive, unique setting. The white jets of the waterfall stands out even more thanks to the greenery in which it is immersed, allpart of the protected area of The Nera River Park.
