La Scarzuola

La Scarzuola is a picturesque rural town located in Umbria, in the hamlet of Montegiove in the municipality of Montegabbione, in the province of Terni. Famous for its ancient convent, which according to tradition hosted St. Francis of Assisi, and for the extraordinary “city-theater” villa, built in the twentieth century by the Milanese architect Tomaso Buzzi. This extraordinary creation represents its personal interpretation of the concept of “an ideal city”, making La Scarzuola a unique and fascinating place to explore.
